Using SRAM XDR, I was almost always using the standard 10-33, but it was a shame that it skipped from 15 to 17. So even though it was a bit harder going uphill, I used 10-28 in between.
I happened to see an Iduvid product, a third-party item, at the market and decided to buy it.
It's an 11-32 combination, and since there's no 10T that I rarely use anyway, I decided to put aside my preference for originality for a while because of the dense gear ratio from 11 to 17 with a 1T interval.
It was said to weigh around 800 kilograms, but since it wasn't clean, I ran it in an ultrasonic cleaner for over 10 minutes and its original appearance came out.
It's hard to judge just by briefly testing it on a roller, but while it's not as smooth as the original SRAM, it performs well enough for everyday use.
Unlike the SRAM original, the overall alignment shifted slightly outward after installation, so I adjusted it 6 clicks inward with the micro adjust function.
The SRAM sprocket has integrated locking, but this one seems to be compatible with Shimano as well.
Without actually trying it on a Shimano spline, it's hard to say for sure, but the up-and-down movement is in a familiar form and there's a separate locking mechanism for SRAM use.
It's made by shaving solid chromium steel, and while the finish isn't as meticulous as that of major brands, you can see machining-specific hairlines.
I don't think this part affects performance significantly, but durability is important. I wonder how long it will last.
The workmanship is acceptable, and as a niche product, it's quite practical. However, there doesn't seem to be an official distribution route in Korea, so it seems like you can only get it through direct purchase.
Direct purchases cost around 200 euros, but with customs duties and VAT, it will probably cost around 400,000 won.
The weight is less than 220 grams including the dedicated locking mechanism, which is similar to the SRAM Red 10-33 configuration.
Considering that the SRAM original is also a monobloc but the largest cog is aluminum and the top cog starts at 11T, this is quite light.
