The biggest drawback of the S5 is that the rivets come loose if too much weight is put on the mount.
Actually, my S5 had 8 rivets fall out and I've been using it for almost 8 months... I was just using a silicone GoPro mount from Ali Express for light use, but the Garmin mount rubber band broke, so I was using it like this:
Then I saw this article on Dossa:
https://m.corearoadbike.com/board/board.php?g_id=Menu01&t_id=Menu03Top1&sch_W=mem_id&sch_O=AND&sch_T=kmj3567&no=2588218 I was finally happy to be able to attach a normal mount...
But I couldn't find it, and time just passed. Then Wang Manduk King found out that I bought the TT spacer from him and immediately contacted me on Naver Smart Store.
Thankfully, he sent me a prototype he had made before, so I installed it and finally went for a ride today. He even helped me with my Garmin 1040.
The finish is really, really good. The TT spacer is actually from another company, but the quality is different.
I felt great just by having a new mount...
But there was one problem:
When my bike passed over the chin, it kept pressing the Garmin start/pause button, stopping the ride.
This seems to be because the start/pause button on my Garmin sticks out a bit.
Except for that part, it's been a few months since I requested rivet repair and I haven't heard back from Sepas. Waiting for Wang Manduk King's reinforced product would be faster.
Thank you for the product that is better than the original.
