Microsoft is testing a free ad-supported Xbox cloud gaming service. The service allows users to stream and play games without subscribing to Xbox Game Pass. Users will be required to watch short ads before starting a gaming session, which is limited to a maximum of one hour. Currently, the trial is only available to Xbox Insider members and the results will be evaluated for future service development. The main goal of this service is to help Xbox One owners play games designed for Xbox Series X|S without having to buy a new console.
