Bloomberg's Mark Gurman: New iPhone SE expected to be released this week

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is expected to release a new iPhone SE this week.



Gurman stated in his Power On newsletter and related social media posts that "a new iPhone SE will be released this week." Previously, he had said it "could be announced as early as this week," but this time he used a more definitive expression.


Since Apple hasn't scheduled a separate event, the new iPhone SE is likely to be announced through a press release on the Apple Newsroom website.


The model, referred to as iPhone SE 4, is expected to combine features of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16, including:

  • 6.1-inch OLED display
  • Face ID
  • USB-C port
  • 48MP single rear camera
  • Apple's own designed 5G modem It is also expected to feature an A18 chip and 8GB RAM, and support Apple Intelligence.

The current iPhone SE (3rd generation) features a design similar to the iPhone 8, with:

  • A15 Bionic chip
  • Touch ID home button
  • Lightning port
  • Thick bezels It retains older specifications.


The current iPhone SE starts at $429, but the price of the next model is expected to increase to around $499.
