Hangang River tandem riding

The Han River is very cold this week..

I've been riding on the road for several years now, but I'm starting to wonder.

After running through the biting wind, I suddenly thought about telling a random story in Dosan.

The distance is 17km one way and 23km round trip (I intentionally take a detour).
Since it's west to east, you usually run against the wind during commuting hours.

Today, with the temperature at -10 degrees Celsius and only the west wind blowing,

1. All the sensors are knocked out.

The cadence + power meter only flashes when I start, and stays at 0 while I'm riding.
It's specified in the product specs that it only works down to -10 degrees Celsius... so it doesn't work.
So sensors are meaningless in extreme winter.
Even if they do work, they cut out intermittently and can't measure properly.

2. Men only (?) have no sensation in their lower body.

Today is a windy day, so the commute is tailwind and the return trip is headwind.
Even with 90kg of fat covering me, the cold wind cuts through.
The most vulnerable part suffers first.

How do you guys ride in a headwind? Right, you'd ride aero, right?
Then the wind attacks that spot first.
It's not a joke, it really hurts. Later, when it thaws (?) out, it just aches.

Most wise Dosan riders will ride indoors or Zwift,
But someone like me who doesn't want to experience the 200% crowded subway rides, insists on riding a bike even in this weather.

Interestingly, even in this weather, there are bikes on the bike path,
and people walking on the wider sidewalk than the bike path or running in groups.

Bikes are good and enjoyable... What can I do... Anyway, fighting to everyone who is riding somewhere today!
