I haven't used the new SRAM drive system yet, and I'm an old user of the SRAM Force D1.
I am not a Shimano user. It is difficult to compare with Shimano, so I will only write my subjective thoughts.
Advantages.
1. There is no line connected to the tail in the back, so the exterior design is very clean and satisfying.
2. It's good that there is no chain swing of the damper (function?) when going over hills. (Compared to SRAM before using Claris manual drive system)
3. The chainring design is cool. (Currently using SRAM Red Chainring D1) / (E1 has a cooler design)
4. It was good that it was compatible with the front/rear derailleur when the battery was low.
Disadvantages.
1. The price range is generally more expensive than Shimano.

***Chain detachment occurred 2 times during 3 years of use.
It occurred when changing the front derailleur while going downhill on a hill.
