The embassy visited the Cilegon region, where many Korean companies have entered, with K-Initiative entry organizations and the Korea Chamber of Commerce. They visited Jawa 9 & 10, which supplies 2GW of electricity to Indonesia through a combined cycle power plant invested by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and operated by Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. (KOMIPO), and a gas turbine installed by Doosan Enerbility.
The embassy also visited Lotte Chemical's petrochemical complex, which produces approximately 3 million tons of petrochemical products annually, including ethylene. This complex contributes to the growth of Indonesia's petrochemical industry and downstream industries.
The embassy visited POSCO Integrated Steel Mill, which produces 3 million tons of steel annually in partnership with Krakatau Steel. This mill is the only integrated steel mill operated by POSCO overseas and supplies high-quality hot-rolled steel to Indonesia.
The embassy visited the wind turbine tower manufacturing plant of Korindo, which has grown into a large corporation in Indonesia. The products from this plant are exported mainly to the US and EU with excellent quality and contribute to global climate change response and renewable energy expansion.
