KES, a 36-year-old German national, was forcibly deported from Indonesia after climbing Mount Agung without a local guide following his arrival in Bali. Although he held a valid arrival visa until January 30, 2025, he violated an official directive from Bali's Forest and Environment Agency prohibiting Mount Agung climbing during adverse weather conditions. This violation resulted in penalties under Articles 75(1) and 122(a) of Indonesia's Law No. 6 on Immigration. KES departed for Phuket, Thailand on January 22, 2025 via an AirAsia flight. The Indonesian Immigration Authority urged all citizens to report foreign nationals who threaten public order or violate laws.
