Recently, I've been holding back on buying from AliExpress, and the volume of my bills has noticeably decreased. I've been cautiously browsing for interesting products with special offers.
One is a Riet tubeless tape, which originally cost around $8 to $10. I didn't buy it before, but when it was on sale for $7.80 with a 30% coin discount, I decided to purchase it. It's a black eraser-like object used to remove silicone sealant residue.
Whether tape or eraser is better remains to be seen, but the tape seems quite thick and sturdy, and its transparency will make it easy to check for air bubbles.
The silicone sealant eraser has a slightly peculiar texture that's sticky yet not tacky. It seems easier to use than soaking in water and wiping with a towel.
Each eraser costs around $2-3.
The saddle is a Fizik Argo Adaptive style saddle, which is a bit cheaper than the Riet.
Since AliExpress products often reflect their price in quality, I expected the Fizik to be slightly lower in quality than the Riet. However, the packaging and finish don't give that impression at all.
It's a shame that there's no non-slip treatment on the rail section, but this isn't a major issue; you can still use it as is or apply carbon paste for better grip.
The graduations on either side of the rails are printed in the exact correct positions. The box includes packaging materials and even a Korean manual, which was a pleasant surprise.
Having a Korean manual was truly heartwarming.
Considering the meticulous provision of user information and the high-quality finish, I believe this product is trustworthy.
I tried a Klit handlebar tape and found it to be good value for its price. So, I decided to try their saddle as well. Along with lebycle and ryet, Klit can now be added to my list of brands with a low failure rate.
