Today, I rode a disc road bike for the first time.
The weather was very warm and nice, but I came back with a frustrating westerly wind.
There were many differences from the rim brake cycle I used to ride.
1. The ride quality of 28c tires is like a luxury sedan. I adjusted the air pressure to around 75-77, but it seems like 70 would be just right.
2. Disc brakes are really good. They grip so well that I have to be careful not to skid.
3. Since I've been riding 50-34 + 12-25 for 15 years, the gear ratio combination of 46-33+10-36 still feels a bit awkward.
It's good that I have gears left even when climbing a steep hill.
I'm looking forward to riding Bukhansan Mountain.
4. The Edge 1040's climbing, curve, and hazard warnings are quite useful.
Even though this bike weighs 8.5Kg, it feels like a whole new world compared to Y1RS which would feel like flying.
Have a happy Chuseok holiday, everyone.
