Varier Review 820 Simple Post-Workout Review

I'm leaving a simple review because it seems like there are no other reviews yet.

My existing self-funded equipment setup was
the Varia 515 with battery life issues (still usable for over 2 hours in sub-zero temperatures) and the Fly6Pro black box malfunctioning.
So I was using the Varia 515 with the light off and only lidar mode, and the Fly6Pro in low pulse mode, charging it once a week.

Today, of course, I'm using the Varia Rearview 820 with the camera attached,
and this is my first simple review.

Advantages: "Definitely smarter recognition ability"
-Improved relative speed recognition (most satisfying!)
The old 515 couldn't recognize vehicles coming at a similar speed, but the new model catches up with following vehicles.
I couldn't hear the car sounds, but the speedometer showed that it recognized two vehicles traveling at a constant speed at a certain distance.
Of course, I don't think it will catch them all 100%.

- 1st and 2nd lane distinction (spatial awareness)
The lane division function works quite well on straight sections. However, while it seems to know whether a vehicle is passing right next to me or not, I'm not sure.
I need to use it more to see if this is an adaptation issue or not. Still, it was helpful.

Disadvantages: "Expensive price and screen occupancy"
-Evil price
No matter how many times I emphasize it, the price for lidar and light functions is in the 400,000 won range. When the Varia 515 was released, there were no other products, but now there are many alternatives.

-Data screen visibility vs space occupied
Using a layout that displays vehicle information widely takes up much more screen space than the existing one-line method. You can set it to display like the old way, but when riding on a bike lane next to a busy road, the screen is filled with vehicle icons, obscuring other data.
I need to consider using one screen for lidar data only and displaying it in one line like the old way in these areas.

That's about it for my simple impressions of the pros and cons.
My Varia 515 replacement cycle was coming up, and I was told it would cost about 140,000 won to replace the battery. I hesitated because it wasn't worth investing in a device without a USB-C port, but then I saw an announcement for a new product and bought it as soon as it was released.
Personally, I was hoping they would just release a new model with a USB-C charging port, but that didn't happen.

It's expensive, and there are many alternative products, but the Garmin speedometer has never malfunctioned, and I heard that battery replacement is possible.
So even though it was expensive, I decided to splurge. ㅋㅋ

Anyway, since I always want to buy bike accessories, I just bought them because I knew I would regret it if I didn't.
