I posted ads to sell a 12-year-old bike on various platforms and Used Country.
But the inquiries were very sparse.
Then I tried posting on Carrot,
and right away I got inquiries.
Even though I gave up on prices when posting some items,
Carrot users don't have professional knowledge about bicycles,
nor interest in recent trends; rather they only
have interest in the bicycle itself,
so transactions seem to go well.
When I met with the buyer,
they saw the bicycle and liked it so much their mouths were grinning from ear to ear.
We completed the transaction in good spirits.
I passed along all the consumables previously used on the rims.
I also bought a new carbon saddle and gave it to them.
I gave it to them so they'd be happy.
Now I've sold 2 and have 1 left.
The remaining one is a Specialized Epic Full Shock.
The weather got nice and going to the mountains is so good.
If a good opportunity comes, I could also adopt a new road bike.
Anyway,
To sell bicycles, if you give up on the price,
and the buyer completes the transaction in good spirits,
it feels good from the seller's perspective too.
I just wrote this because I was bored.
