This time I managed to snag a Colnago frameset at 50% off for a decent price and got it built up as a custom bike. On the shop owner's recommendation, I ended up going with the new Eightine wheel. But there weren't any reviews or real-life photos anywhere, so I was wondering what it even looked like
Turns out it hasn't even officially launched yet.. they contacted the importer and rushed it in by plane right away... wasn't intentional on my part, but apparently I turned out to be the first user in Korea... Honestly I was torn because the major European brands felt too pricey, but based on the shop owner's color feedback and everything, Eightine seemed decent, so I just went with that. He sent me photos of the finished bike, and the color match is actually pretty nice. Personally I think matte finishes look kind of flat, so I wanted gloss, and I'm happy with the subtle sheen it has, sort of like a UD-carbon look.
I was worried that being too light might be risky, but the actual measured weight came out to 1058g.. and apparently the weight limit is 110kg, so should be fine haha
