A fire broke out at a discotheque in Jakarta Plaza Glodok on the evening of January 15th. The fire started on the seventh floor of the discotheque and spread to other areas, with witnesses reporting hearing sounds of gas leaking and explosions. Nine people inside the building at the time of the fire were rescued and all were transported to the hospital without burns or respiratory distress. Firefighters deployed 20 fire trucks and 100 personnel, using ladder trucks to extract trapped individuals. The fire lasted more than five hours until dawn, and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
