I bought a truing stand from AliExpress and was using it well for wheel set alignment and dishing,
Spoke tension, I was relying on just the feel when touching it by hand + the sound it made when plucked.
Since a tension meter cost less than 10,000 won, I bought one and checked all of them, and one of my bikes' wheel tension was almost dangerously low ;
Almost all wheels had unbalanced tension between spokes too (tension height imbalance)
Even when I asked GPT, it said that proper spoke tension + spoke-to-spoke tension balance is as important as wheel alignment.
Thanks to the tension meter, I raised the tension to the proper level, balanced the spoke-to-spoke tension, and when I rode again, the riding feel was definitely different.
The wheel that was previously dull, sluggish, and unresponsive has changed to be snappy and responsive, high rigidity, and aggressive feeling. I'm truly very satisfied.
I highly recommend that those who do self-maintenance invest a little in wheel set maintenance (truing stand, tension meter). The satisfaction is the highest.
