I was looking for an Interpit Aero helmet domestically and ended up directly importing the ekoi brand helmet from overseas, so I'm writing a simple review for information sharing.
I currently have a head circumference of 60cm and wear the met Trenta L comfortably.
I became aware of it because I often saw athletes using it,
and since ekoi's official website frequently has its own discounts, the price seemed reasonable considering the specs, even including shipping and customs fees.
There is currently a discount on color customization, so I recommend checking it out if you are interested.
The specifications are as follows:
- L size: 59~62cm
- Helmet width: 18cm
- L size: around 280g
- Magnetic buckle
- No MIPS
As a special note, the Y-zone length adjustment of the chin strap is not possible,
but since I have ears that touch in the case of Utopia, the R-Aero helmet is roomy enough.
The fit is also good compared to Trenta, so it's great.
Since it's a recent helmet, there are no wind tunnel test data... but it's pretty and light, so I think I made a good purchase.
I have tried various Interpit helmets before purchasing ekoi, and I will also leave a review on them.
met Trenta L
- Width 18cm, front and back about 22cm
- It feels like the width is added to my head shape, so I wear it well.
met Manta L
- The Manta is slightly narrower than Trenta (17.5cm?), but the fit itself is similar.
Smith Ignite L
- The width is about 17.5~18cm, similar to Trenta, but it doesn't have the feeling of width being added like Trenta.
Casque Nirvana L / Casque Proton Icon L
- Width is about 18.5cm, very wide and the forehead is a bit tight.
- As it is the most popular in Korea, it seems to be the best fit for East Asian head shapes.
Casque Utopia Y L
- The perceived width seems narrower than the Proton Icon, but the chin strap is short enough to touch the earlobe.
Trek Bontrager Ballista Asian Fit L
- It feels wider than Casque and the front and back are very short, so it doesn't fit because the back of my head hits the shell.
- I wanted to buy and try Interpit, but gave up because the direct import price was exorbitant.
Eswox E-Vaide 3 Round Fit L
- The width is as wide as Casque, and it's long from front to back, so the helmet itself is large.
- Accordingly, there is a considerable mushroom head...
- I wanted to buy and try Interpit, but the price was unreasonable again.
Rudy Project Nitron L
- The width is about 17.5~18cm, similar to Trenta, but the back of the head doesn't have added width.
Abus Airbreaker 2.0 / Abus GameChanger 2.0 L
- The width is about ~17.5cm, and as it is well-known, the width is narrow, and it is short from front to back, so the helmet itself feels small and sits on top of my head.
Hongjin Ibex 3.0 L
- The forehead is too tight.
Pelco L/XL
- The width is about 17cm, and it's the only helmet I've ever tried that has pinched my temples.
My feet are wide, so finding shoes was difficult,
and finding a helmet that suited my Interpit head shape in Korea was also very challenging...
