I'd like to go see this section.
There are three uphills: Sojo Pass / Ihwaryeong Pass / Maegyejae Pass.
The total driving distance seems to be about 125~130Km according to the map.
I live in Seoul, and I plan to take a bus down the night before and stay at a hotel near Chungju Public Bus Terminal for one night. Then,
I'll leave the accommodation between 7~8 am.
I plan to take a bus from Sangju Terminal back to Seoul around 5~6 pm.
Since there are three uphills, I'm wondering if it's possible.
If it's doable enough, wouldn't it be too much to go as far as Gumi Terminal? It's 160Km...
- My long-distance experience is:
130Km once / 110Km twice / 100Km twice / several times around 80Km (7~8 times)
That's about it.
I've ridden 130Km before, but there were no big uphills on that course.
The uphills I've ridden so far are Humigae Pass / IU Pass / Changnam-i Pass, etc.
(I was able to climb these passes without a drag. IU Pass wasn't really that hard,
and although Humigae Pass was a bit tough, I climbed it right away)
Do you think it's possible? I'm hesitant because it's a course I haven't been to before.
Since there aren't many places to stop and jump in the middle, unlike the Gyeonggi Chuncheon area, I'm asking.
