I'm a 10th grader who commutes on a road bike. Today, like always, I rode my bike and parked it in the usual spot (I always lean it against the wall since the wheel doesn't fit in the bike rack)
But today during homeroom, suddenly a notice like the photo below was posted along with a photo of my bike. Well, I understand 100 times over that people who aren't interested in bikes can't tell them apart, but I'm questioning whether it's really the right choice for a teacher to make unverified claims, call me a shameless student for parking a brakeless fixie, and then post it as a notice to every class across all grades, instructing students to find and bring me in
Of course, I acknowledge my mistake in parking my bike against the hallway wall instead of in the designated parking area, and I apologized to the teacher about that. But instead of apologizing for the incorrect notice, that teacher just let it pass vaguely and said they might call the police if I park there again..honestly, I wonder if just one apology is really that difficult
On the way home, everyone was staring at me and I could hear people whispering about 'no-brake fixie' somewhere, and honestly it's frustrating and absurd that I suddenly became an idiot overnight
