Enjoying a ride with nice weather.
I'm the weather uncle who has been promoted to weather grandfather.
According to the forecast that rain would come
With the mindset of either riding or touring
I headed to Goseong.

In just over an hour
Arrival at Goseong Stadium.
The staff members are busy preparing for tomorrow's competition.
It looks like various booths are scheduled to be set up.
Came to the hotel and checked in
After bringing the bicycle inside with the manager's help
I rested while lying down.
Attached number plates to the bicycle and helmet
After making all preparations and resting for a bit
For dinner
Heading to a meat restaurant in Goseong, 'Majangdong Kim's Goseong Branch'.
Because I have a junior from Goseong
I received recommendations for several restaurants
They said the meat here is good.

I ate an assorted platter
This restaurant's pork belly is incredible.

It was better than most meat restaurants in Busan.
Neck meat was delicious last year, but it seems even more delicious this year.
One bottle of soju and two bottles of beer. I made somaek and drank it refreshingly.
And,
After returning to the accommodation and having two more cans of beer
I watched a movie and fell asleep.

Last year, I also added two bottles of Goseong makgeolli here

With memories of hardship, I got this far. hehe
5 AM.
I woke up

Outside the window
The sound of rain was intense.

While hearing my wife's worried voice
I put on a rain jacket and headed to the competition venue
There was no one on the road. ㅠㅠ

My shoes got wet in an instant...

In the rain
Until departure
Drew lots and waited under the tent before departing.

Getting hit by the rain
Running is too difficult.
Because I was running in a rain jacket
I couldn't get speed,
Why is my heart rate so high.
Moreover,
The altimeter is broken so the incline data is messed up.
Normally I look at the heart rate and adjust
my pace according to the incline,
but because there's a lot of rain and everything is wet, none of it matters.
The heart rate monitor keeps showing 160-170 even though I'm not struggling...(Should I be using a chest strap?)
The incline is 12% but it's showing 2%.

Calculated riding is impossible.

This way, I can't trust the power values either...

With several riders
I worked hard riding while getting hit by heavy rain.
The uphill was okay, but the downhill was too cold and difficult.

My hands were cold, and the cold seeped into my bones.

Still, I enjoyed it.

Once I got wet, it was worth riding.

Going happily like that, someone with a similar pace to mine
I looked after the person behind me
while blocking the wind, I worked hard running toward Danghangpo

When I arrived at the three-way intersection.
There's a cutoff?
I heard the cutoff is at 10:30.

I thought there was no such thing since it had been shortened...ㅎ

It was so cold
that I gratefully accepted the cutoff.ㅎㅎ
I ran the remaining 20-some kilometers
comfortably to the finish line,
and even in the rain,
the folk troupe welcomed us warmly with the sounds of kkwaenggwari and janggu,
which I was truly grateful for.
The emcee also greeted each and every person
as they crossed the finish line.

Throughout the entire race, I wore
a motorcycle rain jacket while riding.
Later, as sweat built up,
it made no difference whether I had the rain jacket on or not.
Got soaked through all the same.ㅜㅜ
After finishing safely and coming back, my wife brought fish cake soup and eggs,
and I ate it deliciously.
Only about 1/4 of the participants were there for the prize draw, and only around 100 people were waiting,
so I waited but got nothing.^^
Before I knew it, the sky was warm with sunshine...
There was a massage place,
so I relieved the fatigue from riding,
then returned to the hotel, cleaned up, and headed to a nice nearby café.
We went to the café that my second son's girlfriend had recommended.
Café Samsan.
Named Samsan because it's in Samsan Village.
Overlooking Jaran Bay
and situated on a protruding piece of land,
it's a large café and it was lovely.
Sweet bread and coffee.
I even took a short nap sitting in a chair,
enjoyed a comfortable rest,
and then headed to Sura Hanjeongsik, where I had a dinner reservation.
Sura Hanjeongsik,
with its magnificent plum tree.
I had signed up in advance for the special set meal,
which is hard to get without a reservation.
My wife and I
enjoyed the hanjeongsik deliciously,
then took a walk all the way to the Songhakdong Ancient Tombs
to work off the meal.
It's a Gaya ancient tomb site,
and it's well maintained,
making it a great spot for a post-meal walk.
Returned to the accommodation along the market street.
My wife and I had an after-party, just the two of us,
with some beer,
and wrapped up the second night.
And then.
The last day.
I slept in until 10 o'clock
and on the way out, stopped by
Momo Hoejip in Baedun.
The raw fish here is delicious, but
the combination of stewed cutlassfish + soybean paste stew is amazing
This is a neighborhood restaurant.
Of course,
it's also the season for flatfish mugwort soup.
Busan style cuts it like powder,
but this place's style has conger eel sashimi cut whole,
harmoniously served with rockfish, flounder, and anchovy
assorted sashimi
After deliciously eating the sashimi, the meal was flatfish mugwort soup
In the past, only people near Masan in Gyeongsangdo ate it,
but now it's become famous nationwide.
The mugwort soup is cooked in a jiri style with flatfish that has the right amount of fat
It was good for hangover cure and very delicious.
I added 1 bottle of soju and 1 bottle of beer,
and left the driving to my wife,
and arrived home comfortably.
Goseong Dinosaur Land Grand Fondo is
good as a riding course, but
as a family trip or couple's trip,
there are sights to see everywhere,
I'd like to highly recommend it as a race course combined with a family trip.
A person from Gyeonggi Province that I met at the race
asked if Jaran Bay in Goseong was a lake when they saw it ^^
Goseong County is a wonderful place.
I'll conclude this detailed review here.
Thank you to all the event organizers who helped
us ride safely.
The marshals who took care of vehicles for safety as I lagged behind were so appreciated,
and the cheering 'Fighting!' from everywhere was so appreciated.
The only regret is that I forgot to buy strawberries. Tsk. ㅠㅠ
