Recently, a new bike that won with Vanderpool at the 2026 SAXO E3 CLASSIC and was hidden behind the veil has been announced today.
The official name is ENDURACE CFR, and it is a full model change based on aero road, not an update.
It features a wide 35mm clearance and aims for all-road capability including aero, racing, and unpaved surfaces.
Notably, a structure acting as a damper has been added to the seatpost, further enhancing comfortable ride quality.
(It appears similar to the seatpost principles of Merida Reacto, Scott Addict, and Pinarello Dogma.)
The geometry is also completely different from the existing Endurace, adopting nearly 99% of the aero road geometry.
While not many opinions have been exchanged yet, there are mixed opinions questioning whether it's derivative given that the geometry and design are nearly identical, but personally I still think the aero road looks aesthetically prettier and better.
At the same time, the cp0053 handlebar has also been newly released.
It features a V-shaped handlebar design that's trendy these days, achieving as much as 120g weight reduction compared to the existing cockpit.
Specs: Reach 84mm Drop 116mm
Stack -20mm compared to cp0048 cockpit
Handlebar width adjustment is not available, and options are limited to just two: 350mm and 375mm.
The flare angle is 14 degrees, reduced by 5 degrees compared to the existing aero drop, making it more natural both aesthetically and in terms of positioning.
The advantage is that it looks quite clean, but the disadvantage is that the maximum width of 375mm is too narrow, so it appears likely to become exclusively for narrow-handed riders.
(Even though it's a new product, even Vanderpool and team members use only some of them and rarely use it.)
In terms of appearance, the stem is short and the top lengthens diagonally, so it lacks what's called "stem aesthetics" almost entirely.
Like installing an aero drop on the cp0049 cockpit, the stem angles downward and then the handlebar shifts back to nearly horizontal.
Like a stock chart moving sideways after a decline, the peculiar design balance feels somewhat disappointing.
The price is approximately 1,040,000 Korean won based on Canyon's official website, and it appears to be around 1,310,000 Korean won when including shipping and import duties.
Since the price includes the mount, it doesn't feel particularly expensive in terms of price compared to integrated handlebars from other companies, but it is nearly 50% more expensive than the existing cockpit, so I think it might be a price that would be both welcome news and yet very deliberating for Canyon users.
