Hello everyone, how are you?
I'm resting after taking a bold left turn at the crossroads due to my tired body and coming back right away.
1. Course
The course had quite a few potholes on the road, and there was a 12% uphill right from the start, so I wondered what that was about. Other than that, it wasn't bad.
Gentle uphills and flat sections where you could still pick up speed were well-balanced.
2. Course Management
The road control and management were the best I've ever seen at a race.
There were large signposts at every intersection, and there were at least 3, and as many as 6~7 volunteers.
Police cars and marshals were also diligently patrolling the course.
3. Aid Stations
The aid station location seemed a bit narrow, but since there weren't many people when I went, I was able to use it comfortably.
With aid stations almost every 20km, I felt like I could even skip one,
It was also good that they separated the aid stations and restrooms.
There were also separate water stations set up in some places.
I could see a lot of effort put into it, so I was grateful for such a well-organized event.
The highlight was the 2nd aid station. I heard that if you go down the cherry blossom path there, you'll soon rejoin the course, and it really was a beautiful road.
4. Other
The medal engraving service was also good. It was a bit awkward to leave after finishing and eating, but they gave us noodles so I ate well before leaving.
The souvenirs were also nice. Instead of clothes that you wouldn't normally wear, they gave us chain oil and a backpack, which was neat.
I just went because it was close by, but it turned out to be a better race than I expected, so I'm thinking about making it a regular event from next year~
Since I haven't ridden the Gran yet, there's plenty of motivation to go~^^
By the way, the elevation gain announced by the organizers is definitely an exaggeration.
Even though I only rode the Medio, my Garmin showed an elevation gain of 1390. ㅋㅋㅋ
The Gran probably wouldn't be far from 2000~
Have a great weekend~^^
