When I got a new bike, I tried using it instead of the Red d1 rotor that was already installed.
The same mold is used by several companies, including Liete, zrace, and another company.
Since several companies sell the same product with only different brands, I consider it a well-tested design. I purchased the zrace product, which was the cheapest, for $8.60 each after applying a coin discount.
The Liete brand costs a little over $15.
Weighing 126 grams per 160 millimeters including lock rings, it can reduce weight by more than 20 grams per set compared to SRAM Red rotors.
When I received the product, it said to use resin pads only, so I temporarily removed the semi-metal pads I was using and replaced them with resin pads.
Although there may not be a problem if you insert semi-metal right away, since the rotor has aggressive properties, there is no need to use resin pads specifically designated for it.
The initial alignment of the rotor was good at 0.05 millimeters combined left and right. After installing new pads and performing an initial bedding process, I rode a Granfondo bike for almost 1700 kilometers today. There was no sharp metallic noise, but there was some high-frequency noise in the beginning. By the middle of the ride, it completely settled in, and the high-frequency noise almost disappeared. The brakes worked very well.
Since it is a resin pad, the performance is slightly lower than metal, but it was sufficient for adapting to stopping distance and finely controlling braking force.
I need to use it more to confidently talk about durability, but most evaluations from early adopters are positive, so there shouldn't be any problems.
The color is also diverse, so it's good for the original purpose of matching.
The disadvantage is that it is only compatible with resin pads, so it is better not to use metal pads. However, road bikes have enough braking power even with resin pads.
