최근 지구 온난화와 무역 증대 등으로 갈색날개매미충, 미국선녀벌레, 꽃매미 등 돌발해충이 기승을 부리고 있습니다. 이러한 해충들은 옥수수, 사과, 벼 등 다양한 작물에 피해를 주고 있으며, 상수원 오염의 원인이 되기도 합니다. 정부 기관과 지자체는 대규모 예찰 및 방역을 통해 돌발해충 확산을 막기 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 예를 들어, 전남 보성군에서는 벼멸구 피해가 발생했고, 경남도농업기술원은 남해안 지역에서 벼 병해충 집중 사전 예찰을 추진하고 있습니다. 또한, 전북 지자체들은 돌발해충의 생육 활동이 활발해지는 시기에 맞춰 신속하고 철저한 방제를 실시하고 있습니다.

These pests damage various crops such as corn, apples, and rice, and can also cause contamination of water sources. Government agencies and local governments are working to prevent the spread of invasive pests through large-scale monitoring and control. For example, rice planthopper damage occurred in Boseong County, South Jeolla, and the Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services is pushing intensive advance monitoring of rice pests in the southern coastal region. In addition, local governments in North Jeolla are carrying out swift and thorough control in line with the period when invasive pests become most active.
Akibat pemanasan global dan meningkatnya perdagangan belakangan ini, hama invasif seperti wereng sayap cokelat, ngengat putih Amerika, dan kepik tutul merajalela. Hama-hama ini merusak berbagai tanaman seperti jagung, apel, dan padi, serta dapat mencemari sumber air. Instansi pemerintah dan pemerintah daerah berupaya mencegah penyebaran hama invasif melalui pemantauan dan pengendalian berskala besar. Misalnya, kerusakan akibat wereng padi terjadi di Kabupaten Boseong, Jeolla Selatan, dan Balai Penelitian dan Penyuluhan Pertanian Gyeongnam menggencarkan pemantauan dini intensif hama padi di wilayah pesisir selatan. Selain itu, pemerintah daerah di Jeolla Utara melakukan pengendalian cepat dan menyeluruh sesuai periode saat hama invasif paling aktif.
