2023년 5월 출생아 수는 2만 3천 160명으로, 전년 동월 대비 13.6% 증가하며 7년 만에 최다치를 기록했습니다. 이로써 출생아 수는 2024년 7월부터 23개월 연속 증가세를 보였습니다. 반면 5월 사망자 수는 역대 최고치를 기록하며, 이른 폭염과 큰 일교차가 영향을 미쳤다는 분석입니다. 5월에는 자연감소 규모가 줄어들었지만, 결혼 건수는 감소하는 추세를 보였습니다. 이혼 건수는 전년 동월 대비 소폭 감소했습니다.
