한국개발연구원(KDI)은 올해 한국 경제 성장률 전망치를 3.2%로 상향 조정했습니다. 이는 글로벌 인공지능(AI) 열풍에 따른 반도체 수출 및 설비투자 증가 덕분입니다. 하지만 고용 유발 효과가 적은 반도체 부문에 성장이 집중되면서 올해 취업자 수 증가 폭 전망치는 17만명에서 11만명으로 크게 감소했습니다. KDI는 높은 경제 성장률에도 불구하고 체감 경기는 개선세가 완만할 것이라고 예상하며, AI 투자 수익성 우려 등 반도체 경기 변동성을 향후 경제의 주요 위험 요인으로 지적했습니다.
The Korea Development Institute (KDI) raised its outlook for Korea's economic growth rate to 3.2% this year. This is due to the increase in semiconductor exports and capital investment driven by the global artificial intelligence (AI) boom. However, as growth is concentrated in the semiconductor sector, which has a low employment-inducing effect, the projected increase in the number of employed persons this year has significantly decreased from 170,000 to 110,000. Despite the high economic growth rate, KDI expects that the improvement in the perceived economy will be gradual, and pointed out that AI investment profitability concerns and semiconductor market volatility are major risk factors for the future economy.

Namun, karena pertumbuhan terkonsentrasi di sektor semikonduktor yang menciptakan lapangan kerja sedikit, proyeksi peningkatan jumlah pengangguran tahun ini turun drastis dari 170.000 menjadi 110.000 orang. Meskipun ada tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi, KDI memperkirakan perbaikan kondisi ekonomi yang dirasakan akan tetap lambat.
